Connect a device

1. In your workspace, sign in and open People. Choose your profile and Connect device.
2. Download the private connection file for that device. It contains a one-time upload credential; keep it private and do not commit it to Git.
3. On a Mac, open the downloaded DMG, drag AI Usage Monitor to Applications, and open that installed copy. Choose the connection file in the setup window.
4. Read the workspace's collection policy. If you agree, choose Agree & connect. The local collector then runs in the background; the Mac app provides a menu-bar status view.
5. Return to People or Workspace to check the device connection and last successful source/analytics sync. A connected device does not prove every historical session imported.

Your workspace owner chooses collection, redaction and visibility. The local consent screen shows the policy before connection. Privacy and policy explains how to interpret it. If you lose a connection file, ask the owner to reset the device login instead of sharing an old file through chat.

For local deep reading, the Mac app can open its separately installed AgentsView reader. The central workspace remains the place to compare team-level people, project and account evidence.
